Snow Canyon State Park
Need a hike to do this weekend? This is a beautiful easy one to do with kids and has a different ending as compared to most hikes. The trail is very well marked until you get to the first section of white rocks, and then you just keep climbing west until you see the sand and the amphitheater. The sandstone rocks tend to be slick, so use caution when climbing up! The end of the hike takes you to this beautiful amphitheater with soft white sand surrounding it everywhere. My favorite app to use is @alltrails, but you may not even need it because it’s marked so well. The parking lot does require a paid pass - even though it is outside the state park entrance.
Pros: easy, well marked trail, fun ending, lots of things to climb and see
Cons: slippery sandstone, paid parking, can sometimes be busy (although when it is busy it’s usually because people are taking family pictures).
Let me know if you go to this one!
