St. George Narrows
Mini Arch
Red Hills Desert Garden
Anyone get claustrophobic? You’ll love the St. George Narrows!
In all honesty, it’s really pretty and fun to explore and worth going to take a look at. The point of the narrows is to try to squeeze in as much as you can before you mentally and/or physically can’t go anymore. I’ve never been a fan of trying it out, but I know kids think it’s pretty cool! If you climb on top of where the narrows are at, you can see the mini arch over to the north-east. We walked/climbed our way over and had a lot of fun reading all the names that people have carved out around it. It’s such a pretty view up top of St George!
And of course, we walked around Red Hills Desert Garden because we love the peace and serenity inside of it. It’s such a fun place to explore and walk through.
To get there: We did Red Hills Garden first. It’s located north of Dixie Rock and has its own parking lot (location is pinned).
For the St. George Narrows - drive up the road from the parking lot and park at the farthest point up before you turn to go back towards the city. It’s directly off of the parking lot and you walk into a little “cave.”
The arch I had a hard time finding on my maps, but it’s in that general area. You can see the T-Bone trailhead looking down so it’s before you cross over that.
I’m not kidding when I say you could spend all day at Pioneer Park and that general area. There’s so much to do and explore that if you really wanted to stay the whole day you could!
