Belly of Dragon & Sand Caves/Moqui Cave Hikes
Heading to Kanab? Here are some hikes you can do on the way!
Belly of the Dragon - .5 mile hike right by Mount Carmel Junction point. This a really cool short hike that looks like you’re walking through the belly of a dragon! It’s a great stopping point while you’re driving there.
Sand Cave/Moqui Cave - 1.0 mile hike just before you get to Kanab. It does require you to pay to get into the Moqui Caves (I think it’s $7 per person or car) but the Sand Cave is free and I’ve heard the caves “glitter” if you go when it’s sunset and the sun hits just right.
