Petrified Sand Dunes

Petrified Sand Dunes

Snow Canyon State Park

Natures jungle gym right in our backyard šŸ¤˜Now that the temperatures are going down, itā€™s finally the best time to go hiking here!

We love Petrified Sand Dunes for so many reasons! First off, the picturesque views that we all care about, and the climbing and scrambling on rocks that your kids care about, all into one hike.

While thereā€™s an actual ā€œtrailā€ you can follow, we like this one because there really isnā€™t a trail you have to stay on.

Itā€™s very similar to Pioneer Park - but we think itā€™s a little safer and tends to be a little less busy (depending on when you go). This hike is for all levels for kids and is very easy to go at your own speed and time and not have a ā€œdestinationā€ in mind.

The more rock scrambling you do, the harder it becomes, but you can easily take the easy routes to still see the incredible views.

You can park at either the Lower Gallot parking lot or the Butterfly Rock/Petrified Sand Dunes parking lot. The upper lot tends to fill up a little quicker, so it may be easier to park at the bottom.

Who else loves this one as much as we do šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø?!
