St James Park

I’ve talked about St James Park in my stories a few times, but haven’t actually posted about it and it definitely needs a permanent place on here.
Along the mayors loop/virgin river trail, St James Park is one of our favorite places to go for a walk. It’s just shy of 1/2 a mile around and is perfect for kids to get their energy out and be somewhere new.
Close to it is the river that you can go down to. If you head east on the trail, there’s a small trail opening that can take you to right to it (pic 5 kind of shows where to go). We love going and throwing rocks and sticks - as long as it’s not too muddy.
There’s also a big pavilion that is great for some shade and a picnic. There’s usually quite a few electric scooters parked along here that are really fun to take for a ride.
We’ve also brought kites here in the spring - it’s a great open grass field with not a lot of trees and makes it easy to fly!
Try this place out sometime and let me know what you think! (But maybe wait a week or month or two because this hot weather isn’t going anywhere 🤪)
