Need a great place to cool off AND is educational? The Dinosaur Museum is perfect!

They’re open every day except Tuesday, hours are 10:00am - 5:00pm (summer hours).

Prices are: $8 for adults, $4 for kids (4-17) and kids 0-3 are free. There’s also a local discount which saves you about $1 per person!

The coolest thing about the museum is it was built literally around the fossils found on Johnson’s Farm, and almost all the fossils there were found in the southern Utah area.

They have a cute scavenger hunt for the kids to do around it (finding hidden letters), and a few things for young kids like digging for a fossil and looking at it in a magnifying glass.

My honest opinion: I wish there was more to it 🤷‍♀️ it was fun and enjoyable, but probably not something we’ll come back to often. My boys love dinosaurs…but we were done in less than an hour 😆.

It was super informative and educational, but unless you have time to sit and read about everything, it was a very fast museum trip.

Pro tip* there’s lots of field trips here - which is awesome! But if you’re wanting to go during the school year, call ahead to see how busy it is or what they have planned.

Afternoons tend to be a little less busy as well.

What did you think of the museum? Isn’t it pretty cool that we have actual fossils in St George?!
