Highland Park
1250 Highland Parkway, Washington
This park is amazing! It has things to do for all ages. Such a great one for families with different age gaps.
Besides the huge grass field with the incredible view, it has an area for small kids with things to ride on and play, a small toddler swing, TIRE SWING (when’s the last time you’ve been on one of those 😏), a big kid area with a huge rock climb wall, and a jungle gym-type area to practice all the monkey bars, swinging, whatever things they can come up with, away from where little kids can be.
It has a big pavilion and two smaller ones and benches all around. BUT there is NO shade. There are some trees that help, but the park itself is not shaded.
Just something to keep in mind when it gets hot.
There’s a walking path around it too, and not too far at the end of the road is a Mtn bike trail (prospectors trail I think).
We will be back again. 10/10 for this park!
Suggestion** Canyon Park that we all love is down the street (if you haven’t been you need to...) but it seems to always be so busy! If you get there and don’t even want to get out of the car, this is an AWESOME replacement. It’s right up the road too, not far from it.
