Fishing Ponds Around St George

So many beautiful ponds around St George! Spring and summer are great times to fish around here. Luckily there’s a few places to do it!

First off, I am no expert on fishing. I am not the best one to come to for answering fishing questions 😬 BUT I do know some places to go! And that’s about all the fishing knowledge I have. 😅

Here is a list according to the map (last swipe) and a few pictures of the ponds around Washington county.

1 - Ivins Reservoir - 1508 Crescent Moon Trail, Ivins (pic 1)

You can fish at the pond in the back, not the swimming spot.

2 - Tawa Pond (upper and lower)

2200 Snow Canyon Parkway (pic 2) - lower is on the other side of the baseball fields straight down the road.

3 - Tonaquint Pond - 1851 S Dixie Drive (next to Thunder Junction)

4 - Brooks Nature Park - 452 N Main St (pic 3)

5 - Skyline Pond - 600 E Skyline Drive (pic 4) - next to the animal shelter off by Dixie Rock

6 - Springs Pond - 2395 East Springs Drive (pic 5)

7 - Sullivan Virgin River Pond - 965 S Washington Fields Rd

8 - Razor Ridge Park - 1934 Razor Ridge Dr, Washington (pic 6)

9 - Quail Creek - 5300 W, Hurricane

10 - Grandpas pond - 350 N 3700 W, Hurrricane (pic 7)

11 - Sand Hollow Reservoir - 3351 S Sand Hollow Rd, Hurricane (pic 8)

Gunlock Reservoir - Gunlock Road, Gunlock

(Not on map)

Upper Sand Cove Reservoir - Dammeron Valley (not on map)

*Please make sure you check all the rules, regulations and licenses for fishing before you go. Most ponds are catch and release.*

If any of you are experts at fishing, comment below so others can ask questions! (It would be so helpful!!)
