Brigham Young Winter House
67 W 200 N
Another thing to do to celebrate Pioneer Day is to tour Brigham Young’s Winter home - or any of the Pioneer related homes around St George.
The tours are available to anyone, not just LDS members. We went on Sunday and learned so much about the history of the home and about St George in general.
There’s a lot of cool aspects in it like how they air conditioned the home, what their bathrooms were like, and that the green fence in the front is the original fence when they built it.
A lot of the furniture in the home like the piano and the stove are original too, it was really cool to see!
The hours to tour are Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm and Sunday 12pm - 6pm.
Across the street from the home is a super cute bed and breakfast called @themulberryinnstg and would be a really fun place for a staycation getaway. It was built around the same time as the Brigham Young home. We found this home on this link of other pioneer homes to see around the area: https://wchsutah.org/documents/st-george-landmarks2.pdf
We’ve had fun finding ways to celebrate our pioneer heritage this week and can’t wait to continue on until Saturday!
