Bloomington Petroglyph Park
1469 Geronimo Rd
Another fun little spot to go in Bloomington is the Petroglyph Park.
Ok - it’s more interesting than fun, but it’s in the middle of a subdivision so that’s pretty cool!
Thanks to @utahsadventurefamily for posting about these when you visit St George, I honestly had no idea they existed!
It’s not a park to play at, much more if a historical site to look at and read. But there’s places you have to hike to to see petroglyphs whereas this is literally a park next to it and you’re there place. So if you’re wanting to see petroglyphs in a very easy way - go here!
I couldn’t find a ton of history about them, other than they’re “ancient messages” haha. They have pictures have animals and people and you can kind of guess the gist of what they were trying to leave behind.
They’re really cool to check out for a quick family outing!
You could pair it up and play at Bloomington Park (near the baseball fields) afterwards, or walk on the Man-O’war trail along the virgin river.
This is also on my Picture Scavenger Hunt - so be sure to check it out sometime!
